Intro

Maxnet is a recurrent competitive one-layer network used to determine which node has the highest initial activation. Let $\theta=1$ and $0<\epsilon< \frac{1}{n-1}$ where $n$ is the number of nodes. Each node will have the following activation $$f(x_{i})=max\left(0,x_{i} + \theta -\epsilon\sum\limits_{j\not=i} x_{j} \right)$$ This network keeps running until only one has a nonzero activation.
