Definition (Support)

Let $f:X\to\mathbb{R}$ be a real-valued function whose domain is the set $X$. The set-theoretic support, written $supp(f)$ is the set of point in $X$ where $f$ is non-zero or $$supp(f)=\{x\in X: \ f(x)\not=0\}$$
