Regular Vector Quantizer

Definition (Regular VQ)

A vector quantizer QQ is called regular if

  1. Each RiR_{i} is a convex subset of Rk\mathbb{R}^{k}
  2. ciRi\mathbf{c}_{i}\in{R}_{i} for all i=1,,Ni=1,\dots,N
