Let $A$ be some matrix. We say $A$ is Hurwitz if all eigenvalues of $A$ lie in $$\{ z\in\mathbb{C}\mid \mathrm{Re}(z)<0 \}$$i.e. all the eigenvalues of $A$ have negative real parts.
